Grand Cayman Roundtable

February 12, 2020; 3-5pm, followed by a cocktail reception
Westin Grand Cayman

Topics:

* Claims v. Cayman Entities in the U.S.
* In Pari Delicto under U.S. Law
* Litigation Finance: Pitfalls and Opportunities

Harry Markopolos, the well-known financial fraud investigator who was the first to uncover Madoff’s Ponzi scheme will lead a fascinating discussion on Ponzi Schemes: How to Spot Them and How to Recover Losses.

This is a hands-on program at which we do not expect prepared presentations from participants, but welcome a lively give and take of differing viewpoints on the important issues that will be covered. To promote frank, open discussion, Chatham House rules will be followed so that comments made by participants will not be quoted without prior approval by the participant.

Participants will include a diverse group of experienced industry players. The roundtable’s interactive format allows each participant to present his or her position, and debate it with informed participants possessing alternate points of view. We are frequently told that in addition to the compelling program content, interactions among attendees is one of the most valuable features of joining our roundtables.

Participation is by invitation only.  To be considered for participation, please contact Jill@iief.org
